To all volunteers that are considering a visit, don’t give up the opportunity to come to this unique place; I am certain you will not regret your decision.

During my one month at Hacienda Tranquila, I learned to use a machete, milk cows, and teach children about their environment. More than anything, however, I learned what satisfaction simplicity brings.

I have spent two weeks on the island of San Cristobal in La Casa Verde. During my stay, I volunteered at the children’s day care. For the first time in my life, I felt I was part of something bigger than myself. I know for sure now this was the best decision I ever made. The things I learned about myself, the beautiful world around me, and the meaningful future I have ahead of me are too plentiful for this list. I praise this foundation for giving me, as well as many others the experience of a lifetime. Keep up the good work, and keep inspiring and changing lives!

I have been here for 4 weeks and they have flown by! Each day brought a new variety – milking cows, playing with kids, planting trees, clearing mora with machetes, more machete… it has all been great. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!

Llevo conmigo recuerdos maravillosos…

Thanks for a wonderful I inspiring time at Hacienda Tranquila! I enjoyed a lot, especially working with the machete and getting in conduct with all the other volunteers. I was here for 4 weeks and could even stay longer.

Working in nature, riding horses and especially playing on Fridays with the kids of INFA made me very happy.

I will never forget this time. Thanks to the whole team, especially Carlos and Luis! You did a great job, and perhaps one time I will learn how to milk cows.
I wish Hacienda Tranquila the best for the future. You have great ideas and I am very thankful to be (for a short time) a part of it.
Hasta Luego!
